With the launching of the Great Plant Hunt Project the children from the Detska Radost kindergarten accepted a new challenge - a new adventure. Each game in the yard was related to Darwin's research spirit.
"We all knew that a turtle lives in the yard of the kindergarten, we were aware that its shell was its home, but none of us knew where the turtle was hiding during the winter.
One sunny day, while throwing peels and leaves into the compost, one of the children found something unusual - a clod of earth that was moving. What a surprise, joy and emotion arose in everyone when we realized it was the turtle.
We talked about where the turtle spent the winter and the benefits of compost not only for plants, humans, but also for animals. After revealing the secret house of the turtle - deep under the compost, we made a small sign that read: "Here, the mascot of the kindergarten lives."
